These are strange times, and our heart goes out to you couples who are anticipating weddings. With cancellations and postponements happening for foreseen circumstances, the best thing to do is to look on the bright side. You have each other, and your romantic dates don’t need to stop because of lock down.
We’ve gathered some ideas / alternatives to venturing out on dates and to stay home and enjoy each other’s company instead.
Please note – these ideas have been tried and tested and can highly recommend!
Factoid - Penguins mate for life!
Try out these lovely ideas on how to spend your dates during lock down.
Go on a Picnic! Inside or in your garden, this is a lovely way to go on a date with your lover. All you need is a blanket and pillow, lay it down on your living room floor or in your garden, a basket of nibbles and a bottle of fizz to share candles and incense – optional.
Living Room Movie Night – a fun way to spend a date at home and this is one of my favourites – sofa movie night, whether it’s a Netflix or Prime, wear your favourite outfit, meet your date in the living room and take it to the sofa, popcorn, crisps and drink of choice AND you get to sprawl and cuddle watching your film of choice.
Afternoon Tea – Little tea sandwiches and mini fancies, how cute is that though?
Games Night – Plan a games night! Whether it’s a board game, Twister, cards or on a console, this always a fun way of spending a date.
Make a Den – gather your tables and chairs or clothes horse and drape over some sheets and fairy lights, fill it with blankets and cushions and voila!
Backyard Glamping – pitch up your tent and turn it in to a glamping haven. Fairy lights and a cosy campfire toast some mallows and enjoy a cup of cocoa wrapped up together in a blanket under the stars.
