An Autumn Romance @ The Chilli Barn, Wharfedale

In a surrounding of meadows, forest, moorland and crags, Wharfedale is the loving home to The Chilli Barn. A dream team joined in harmony and conjured up a magical Autumnal boho vibe, perfectly visualised in this lovely rustic location in Yorkshire.

"Just Lovely Styling had its first styled shoot at the beautiful Chilli Barn in Otley and it was an amazing day! With an Autumnal feel, we wished to create rustic romance with a touch of elegance.

The day was filled with utilising our ever-growing collection of props to enhance an already beautiful setting into a wedding wonderland. Working with an incredible collection of suppliers who came together to make it, just lovely!

Just Lovely Styling is a prop hire and styling company based in West Yorkshire. From milk churns, brass candle holders to a vintage bicycle we have everything to help create your most perfect day. Our on the day handmade signage and stationery creates a bespoke touch which every couple deserve on their special day!" - Nicola Mckenzie @ Just Lovely Styling.

"I really enjoy creating pieces to fit the seasons - especially Autumn, it's my personal favourite. The leaf headpiece was designed to both evoke the feel of the season and to be minimalist in design; I wanted to give a gorgeous nod to nature while not overpowering the look, and the gold works perfectly for this!

The veil is something that had been on my mind for a while. I've always loved how the colours change in the leaves at this time of year, especially the vibrant, bold, bright reds and oranges. I was originally only supplying the headpiece for this shoot, but when it became clear that the veil supplier unfortunately couldn’t participate only the day before, I knew immediately what to make! I'm so pleased that the fiery burnt orange tones and vivid reds really matched the floral perfectly - it shows that a personalised veil to match the colour scheme of a wedding can really bring the whole day together." - Nicola Mckinstry

"Emma and I had a vision for this cosy, intimate, Autumnal wedding and we couldn't have found a better bunch of suppliers to help pull it off!

From the fiery bespoke veil, the vintage bicycle and pumpkins to the stunning dresses, models and venue...everything and everyone worked perfectly to produce these beautiful images.

For Hair, Emma wanted to incorporate her signature laid back, boho style, together with the glistening headpieces and veils, to create the perfect Autumn bride look. She wanted the two models’ hairstyles to contrast slightly so for the second style created a sleek, double bun. This gave the final look a modern yet polished feel.

With the Makeup I really wanted to capture the model’s natural beauty as I would with any bride, understated, warm tones and nude lips worked well here. I created a smoky, rusted orange eye look for Clare to contrast with her pure white dress and veil."

- Emma Tretton & Charlotte Beckwith @ Comb & Rouge

"I chose classic autumnal colours for this invitation - rich orange, warm browns and a touch of mint green - with rustic, watercolour style floral graphics to call back to the beautiful natural surroundings of the venue. The beautiful script font completes a modern but warm and welcoming invitation!

After being a graphic designer for ten years, I'd been regularly asked to design wedding stationery for friends and family, and really loved making something unique for their special day!

Always Ever After was created so I could continue the work I enjoyed and offer my own range of semi-custom designs as well as beautiful bespoke creations."
