A Romantic Elopement in the City

I am taking you away to Leeds City Centre today, for some seriously stunning city style elopement inspiration. Elopements and micro weddings are something that may work for you, especially in our current climate, that is if you are looking to wed sooner rather than later.

This bunch of images are stunningly captured by Your Choice Photography in and around the cool city of Leeds, Yorkshire. In the heart of the city you will find two super cool brides, dressed in beautiful attire from one being a dress from Perfect Fit Bridal Couture and a suit designed by Emma Willis for Next. I really think you will fall in love with these awesome captures today.

"A growing number of couples are choosing to elope every year, with an increasing number choosing to go off the grid a little closer to home or even into the city. The hustle and bustle of Leeds city center is always filled with character and the perfect spot for city girls, Charlene & Gemma, whilst including the romantic element of their own personalities. Photographed in the spring, it was ideal for using blush tones which matched their coloured engagement rings perfectly.

Being able to share Gemma and Charlene’s love, alongside some beautiful spring inspiration in the heart of Leeds was an opportunity not to be missed.

Charlene wore an Emma Willis, flared white pant suit from next and paired it off with a blush pink loafer. Wendie at Perfect Fit Bridal Couture, Leeds - provided an in-house designed floor length gown embellished with blush pink and green florals for Gemma. Teamed with a bespoke matching veil and blush pink, satin court heels with a back bow.

The ladies styled their own hair on the morning of the shoot but had their make-up done by the sisters who own Chandler Beauty, who opted for a matching colour palette, but a look tailored to each. A soft, romantic look with a spot of drama was the theme and they nailed it." Nisha

" Vickie from Spectacular Scenes created 2 epic floral arrangements for the day, using the shoes and romantic spring theme as inspiration for each piece. Charlene’s look was a little more tailored, but still incredibly feminine to match her personality so Vickie created a handheld hoop with a floral embellishment to compliment Gemma’s bouquet. The hoop symbolized a bond and unity, whilst Gemma’s wild bouquet incorporated matching flowers with a hand tied silk ribbon to finish." - Nisha

"After leaving the Perfect Fit Bridal studio, we headed straight over to the Belgrave music hall for a bite to eat and a few images in front of the iconic Leeds building before heading over to the Town Hall. The pillars and door design at Leeds Town Hall make for a fantastic little backdrop for your wedding day photos and somehow still manages to be nestled away and feel quite private.

We walked through the city center and over to the rainbow bridge which towers over Fibre and Viaduct Bar on Briggate for some colourful portraits, before popping into Viaduct show bar for a glass or two of champagne. We had been sent some lovely little bespoke popcorn favours GB Elegant Events over in London, which were delicious and made for a lovely treat to enjoy in their throne with bubbles.

An elopement, wherever it may be or how many people attend, is an incredible way to really live the ‘your day, your way’ vibes. It’s about truly doing what the two of you enjoy and being free. They’re not for everyone and if you’re thinking about escaping to the coast or enjoying a pizza in your bespoke gown or suit just because - then this might just be the option for you!" - Nisha
